Mission Statement
The Parks and Recreation Department will provide high quality recreational services for both youth and adults, care of city owned parks, and maintain Ski Hi Park Facility.
Our responsibilities include the following:
- Landscape and maintain 72 acres of city owned parks
- Maintain, manage, and provide rental opportunities for Ski Hi Park
(32,000 square foot facility including a gym and rodeo arena)
- Provide recreational sports for ages 4 through 14
- Provide recreational sports for adults 16 on up
- Coordinating with Public Works regarding planting, trimming, and removing of city owned trees
- Work closely with the Monte Vista Tree Board
